"Strong Kids Safe Kids" festival on September 21st offers free, fun activities focused on child safety and wellness.

Steuben County is gearing up for its annual "Strong Kids Safe Kids" festival, a vibrant event dedicated to promoting child safety and wellness in the community. Scheduled for Saturday, September 21st, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., this family-friendly festival will take place at the Steuben County Fairgrounds in Bath, NY.

The event promises a fun-filled day packed with free activities and resources designed to educate and entertain families. Among the featured activities are bike helmet fittings and car seat safety checks, encouraging parents to prioritize their children's safety while on the road. The "Passport to Fitness" initiative will offer various fitness activities to engage children and inspire them to stay active. Adventurous kids can also enjoy a climbing wall and inflatable fun areas.

Additionally, the festival will include a "Kids' Farm Market," where children can learn about healthy eating and nutrition. Other engaging activities include giant blocks and games, a "Hands-On" trucks exhibit, and various educational stations providing health and safety information. Over 25 local agencies, including the Hornell Area Concern for Youth, will be on-site, offering valuable resources and support to families.

The "Strong Kids Safe Kids" festival is made possible through the generous support of various local sponsors, including Chemung Canal Trust Company, GST BOCES Support Staff Association, Central Steuben Chamber of Commerce, Tyrtle Beach, and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. These organizations, along with Kiwanis and other community groups, have come together to ensure a memorable day of learning, fun, and family bonding.

This event underscores the importance of community involvement in child safety and well-being. By bringing together families, local organizations, and safety experts, Steuben County continues to foster a safe and supportive environment for its youngest residents.
